Ulsan travel tips: tourist traps to skip
- Do not assume Ulsan Station is in the city, or that a public shipyard tour exists, or that a whale cruise guarantees whales.
- Do not judge Ulsan restaurants by international review counts, which are tiny for a business city.
Getting around Ulsan: public transport and more
- Ulsan KTX Station is inland in Ulju near Eonyang, about 20 km from the centre, so budget a bus or taxi transfer.
- Use Taehwagang Station as your centre for the city itself, and taxis for cross-city hops to Dong-gu and Jangsaengpo.
- A rental car or taxi day is the pragmatic way to combine Bangudae, Eonyang and Ganjeolgot in Ulju.
