Things to do in Lake Tanganyika Shore
And where to stay, the best time to visit, what a day costs, and the traps to skip.
Best time to visit Lake Tanganyika Shore
• a note or something on ✦ an occasion worth the trip
Long dry season and best window: roads passable, lake calmest, Katavi open and game concentrated.
Short rains and shoulder: green shore, stronger falls, fewer visitors, roads can still cut after heavy rain.
Long rains, April wettest: southern roads at their worst, lake storms frequent, transfers most likely to slip.
