Things to do in Tabuk
And where to stay, the best time to visit, what a day costs, and the traps to skip.
Best time to visit Tabuk
• a note or something on ✦ an occasion worth the trip
Best window, comfortable city touring and desert days, with cold nights and possible mountain snow in winter.
Warm shoulder months, good for Disah and the coast, with softer prices in October.
Last month for full desert days without a dawn only schedule, and farm visits are still strong.
Avoid for sightseeing, city highs sit around 38 to 39 degrees and desert excursions become punishing.

Lorry country on the city approaches, with nothing to walk to in the evening.

- Do not combine Disah, Tayeb Al Ism and the city sights in one day, that is roughly 1000 km of driving.
- NEOM is not a visitable attraction, and photography near construction or military areas can be restricted.
- Do not treat Jabal al Lawz as a do it yourself climb, the summit area is restricted and guided only.
- Maghaer Shuaib has no AlUla style visitor infrastructure, go for the emptiness, not polish.
Getting around Tabuk: public transport and more
- Use Uber and Careem inside the city, there is no metro or useful visitor bus network.
- Rent a high clearance 4x4 for the Disah interior, Bajdah or Al Shaq, and fuel up before leaving the city.
- Download offline maps for the whole province, signal drops in the canyons and desert.
- Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Airport is about 15 minutes from the Al Olaya hotels.
