Is Hydra safe?

Hydra travel tips: tourist traps to skip
- Harbour-front restaurants at lunch: priced for the view and the day boats; eat one street back
- The Leonard Cohen house is private; admire from the lane, do not knock

Getting around Hydra: public transport and more
- Walk: everywhere central is 10 minutes on foot
- Water taxis from the harbour rank run to Kamini, Vlychos, Mandraki and the south beaches; agree the fare first
- Donkeys and mules are the luggage service; your hotel arranges porters
