- A Ulaanbaatar day trip promising Karakorum and back means ten to twelve hours driving for two hours on site.
- Anyone calling the Orkhon Waterfall a quick stop is selling something: it is a full day.

- About 360 km of paved road from Ulaanbaatar, five to six hours by car, longer by bus.
- There is no public transport between sights: hire a car and driver and agree route, fuel and waiting time in advance.
