Things to do in Kobe
Kobe beef, jazz bars, and a bridge walk 47 metres above the sea.
This is Kobe for the traveller who wants to eat and drink well without overthinking it: port-city coffee culture in the morning, Chinatown and hillside mansions through the afternoon, one serious steak dinner and a jazz bar to close. Days one and two stay close to the centre so nothing feels rushed, and day three trades the city for a genuinely strange and memorable bridge walk out west.

Skip these
- Street stalls and generic spots using the Kobe beef name loosely are not serving certified Kobe beef.
- Lunch sets are 30 to 50 percent cheaper than dinner for the same beef grades.
- Harborland mall is a mall. The waterfront walk is the attraction, not the shopping.
- Do not confuse atoa on the central waterfront with Kobe Suma Sea World in the west.
