Cheap things to do in Kanazawa

Gardens, geisha streets and market bowls without spending much at all.

This is Kanazawa at its most affordable: free gardens in the morning, market grazing at lunch, retro diners and izakayas at night. It suits anyone who wants to read a city through its food stalls and backstreets rather than its admission prices. Three days is enough to feel like a local.
