Things to do in Tavira
And where to stay, the best time to visit, what a day costs, and the traps to skip.
Best time to visit Tavira
• a note or something on ✦ an occasion worth the trip
Best weather, everything open, 22 to 30 degrees. September with the Diet Fair is the top pick.
Peak heat and crowds, sea warmest, everything open and busiest, book everything and ferry early.
Quiet and good, 18 to 23 degrees, birding superb, prices drop and the sea is chilly.
Worst for beaches, 15 to 17 degrees and the most rain, island services closed, but flamingos are in and rates collapse.
