- Giza Sound and Light is dated, Memphis is only a Saqqara add on, and Cairo Tower is poor value in haze.
- Confirm pyramid view rooms in writing and keep hotel confirmations against closed or full redirection claims.
Getting around Cairo: public transport and more
- Use Uber, Careem or inDrive with in app prices instead of negotiating taxis, and set cash if card trips keep cancelling.
- Metro is cheap, fast and traffic proof for Downtown to Coptic Cairo, but it does not reach the pyramids or the GEM.
- Cluster each day by district and avoid cross river trips at peak hours, 8 to 10am and 4 to 7pm.
